A verstaile young player able to play in most areas across the park, Gray is nicknamed 'greyhound' due to his speed.
A defender by trade, he made his Manchester United debut in October 2006 in a League Cup tie against Crewe Alexandra.
Though he joined United as a winger he has found himself more at home in a defensive position.
He was loaned out, coincidentally, to Crewe in November 2007, making his only appearance in a 2-0 reverse at Nottingham Forest.
