The younger brother of former United trainee Adam, Richard is predominantly a right-sided full-back who came of age in the reserves in 2007/08.
After finding much of his early career dogged by injury, he was rewarded for his performances by some fine displays which led to him being named the reserves' Player of the Year.
However, like his brother, Richard may find his career is continued away from Old Trafford.
