United snapped up Cleverley from Bradford City shortly before his 16th birthday in the summer of 2005.
The young midfield talent is expected to go out on loan to a Football League club to further his football education.
He can also operate in defence.
His professional approach has led to huge praise from coaches Brian McClair and Jim Ryan, leading to him standing in as the reserves' skipper. He was also nominated on a shortlist of three for the reserves Player of the Season in 2007/08,
